Welcome to Christian books cheap. This is the fundraising arm of www.christiandisabledaustralia.net and www.christiansformentalhealth.com  the first is for those generally affected by physical disabilities and the second for those affected by mental illness and in trying to help them of which I am both.

At the moment all of this books are in English only because I only read, write and speak English. But I have added the language transfer for those who don't read English to all my sites as its a new service available. I will review putting other language books in, in time butthere isn't much askfor it, so they are unlikely to sell as there are so many languages and I can't review them to see what they say and are applicable.

For a long time I have tried to help others like me but found that it was being limited because it was being funded by my limited disability pension. I tried different ways to no avail but special thanks to all who have contributed in prayer, financially and corporately Koorong Bookstore. Now I have decided to try selling Christian books cheap from home on a wide variety of subjects including bibles, new testaments, devotionals and general Christian books. I hope to have a Catholic section even though I am not Catholic myself. I am experimenting with selling them in other ways too like at car boot sales. If you have any suggestions of non Sunday markets please let me know. I now got to Friday markets at Balga at Princess Road behind the soccer club sometimes.

I also collect bibles in good condition to send to Africa.

I have also self published four books, one being on disabilty, the history of my disabilty websites with poetry on my struggles with depression etc. It also has sections on getting used to a new disability or illness, suicide and an article kindly allowed to be re printed from THE SALVATION ARMY magazine in Australia THE WAR CRY.

Another book I wrote is my autobiograpry with reprints of articles I have been in and a photo with a world famous Australian. This contains many stories of my life, how I came to be a Christian, how I have nearly died at times including being saved from drowning, then saving another boy from the same on a seperate occasion.

The third is one person's struggle with mainting a Christian faith despite remaing homosexual despite trying every method possible to become heterosexual. God's message in the end was serve him despite this and help others similair to them and remain faithful to him. It is a journey of faith. A book for all people.

My fourth book which is far shorter is about mental illness and what I have leant on healing while not being completly healed miraculously all at once.

The launch for this new service and my four seperate books at my books launch at Wesley Uniting Church Hall in the city of Perth W.A. from 3 - 5pm held ealier in June went well and on Sunday 3rd October 2010 there will be a talk by me on the subject of 'Coping with problems that don't always go away". Entry is $10 waged and $5 unwaged and the books being sold there will be my self published books mentioned above as well as some other Christian self help and disability books. There will be afternoon tea supplied and all are welcome. It is on the first floor up the lift at 97 William St Perth, and the entrance is through the glass doors right next to a ladies shoe store.

NOW the books are available cheap from my home shop. Details of how to find that are on the contact us page and the map to the right and the explanation details. Sales are by apointment only. This service is provided by donations of books in good condition, written in non judgemental Christian books on a wide variety of subjects, plus bibles with an emphasis of books on disabilty and mental health. Now that the the sevice is set up there is wheelchair acces here in and out of the car park. At the current time I am waiting for books to come in from my supplier and donations from individuals of Christian books, Bibles, New Testaments in good condition can be deliverd to the home address listed at any time. You don't need an appointment for donations only but YOU MUST HAVE ONE FOR BUYING or exchanging.

The bookshop is open now. If you want to look now thats fine but I am adding to it all the time. I am also looking for a donation of a tall bookshelf. I have some but need one more free.

I am looking at the IDEA only of having it as a book exchange also.

At this time it is a one man show and is in the process of being set up. However if you have any non judgemental non extremist Christian books of sale - able quality that Christians of this day and age would buy you wish to donate free please leave them under cover from the weather at the listed address on the contact us page AND NOW ALSO AT WESLEY CHURCH OFFICE. To enter the address go up Main St , between where Karrinyup Rd and Morley Drive Meet and where Royal St and Hutton Sts change name as they join. It is between Eldorado and Swan Sts but go up Eldorado St and left into Holub lane and park in bay 5 of the first set of units you come to or up the top in the visitors bay. Go right down the end of the ramp and to Unit 5 which is the end gate and through the gate during day times only. All viewings of books are buy prior booking by TTY phone {I have a minor worsening speech defect} on 133677 then my area code of 08 even if you are in W.A. and my number of  94405285. Or you can email me at colourfuldave@gmail.com  however I always check the phone more often. Holub lane doesn't go through to Swan St. It looks like Yokine or Tuart Hill on the map but the street address is actually Osborne Park. I have enclosed much detail because it can be hard to find by the way it was designed and built. Not all the units have a number on the individual gate but mine does to make it easier. From the car park mine is the end one down the ramp to the right near my car bay and has a sign on it regarding the book sales.

When you come ask for a business card about this and other websites like the disability ones. This is what your buying of the books and donating them achieves - helping the physically disabled and mentally ill get employment and contributes to the websites.

I also collect aluminium cans for charity, a child in India is sponsored by a church I used to go to. They have put several children through to college who are now aiming to help their own communities all from the money from aluminium cans. If you have any empty drink cans please leave them with the others at my address with the others in the container at the end near going around the corner next to emty pots. Aluminium cans are the easily crushable ones and they are recyled with money given for them. It also stops them going into landfill.

I now longer grow herbs here for sale but St Peter and Emmaus Anglican and Uniting Church joint venture at 56 Green St (Corner of Banksia St) Joondanna have a morning market every first Saturday morning of each month from 8.30 to 11am with plants I grew plus others, cakes, jams, pickles, scones, craft, white elepant stall etc from the chuch and others donated. All welcome.

NO MONEY IS KEPT HERE OVER NIGHT!!!
